IPM Algebraic Geometry Immersion Program

The IPM Algebraic Geometry Immersion Program, or simply Schemeathon, is a seven-day residential program organized as part of the Decoding Dimensions initiative. Designed for students who have completed an introductory course in schemes, it seeks to bridge the gap between coursework and research by fostering mathematical fluency through intensive problem-solving, collaborative discussions, mini-projects, mathematical clinics, and guided exploration of selected advanced topics in algebraic geometry. More than a summer school, Schemeathon is an opportunity to spend a week living algebraic geometry and becoming part of a lasting mathematical community.

The 2026 edition of the program will be held at Khansar Campus, University of Isfahan, Khansar, Iran, from 8 to 14 August 2026.
