Homological Algebra


This course introduces the basic ideas of homological algebra, including derived categories, derived functors, spectral sequences and other topics needed for further study in algebraic geometry and number theory.

The main reference will be Homological Algebra by Bernard Le Stum. We may also occasionally use:

  • Homological Algebra (Sophie Morel)
  • Categories and Homological Algebra (Pierre Schapira)
  • Methods of Homological Algebra (Yuri I. Manin, Sergei I. Gelfand)
  • Fourier-Mukai Transforms in Algebraic Geometry (Daniel Huybrechts)

The class meets on Wednesdays at 3:00 PM Tehran time.
